The 10 Basic Steps to Healing
These 10 basic steps are critical for anyone desiring to stay healthy or achieve optimal health from a compromised state. There are a lot of amazing healing modalities available today but without following these 10 basic steps, achieving optimal health will be difficult.
Step 1: Diet
It is critical to eat a large amount of fruits and vegetables. These must be mostly fresh, raw, organic fruits and vegetables and juicing is of big benefit as well. Vegetables and fruits should make up at least 70% of your diet. Add nuts, seeds, whole sprouted grains, organic animal proteins should make up the other 30%. Grains should be limited according to your metabolic type. Healthy fats such as avocado, coconut oil, olive oil, most nuts and seeds are critical to have in small amounts each day. Refined grains and sugars must be eliminated or limited depending on health status.
Step 2: Exercise
Our society is full of sedentary people who are not active enough. It is critical for everyone to get at least 3 ½ hours of moderate intensity exercise per week. Stretching should be done daily.
Step 3: Water
Most people walk around with a low level dehydration most of the time. The average adult should drink at least 8-10 glasses of purified water every day.
Step 4: Sunlight
You should be exposed to adequate sunshine every day for at least 20 minutes. This is critical for building healthy bones and a healthy immune system and more. This also will improve your emotional health.
Step 5: Fresh air
It’s critical to get fresh outdoor air every day. Indoor pollution has harsh consequences on your health. Get at least an hour or two of fresh air daily.
Step 6: Adequate rest
The average adult needs to sleep 7-8 hours each night. This must be good quality sleep.
Step 7: Avoid food and environmental toxins
Avoid processed and artificial foods. They are full of unhealthy, unwanted chemicals. Make foods fresh and eat organic when ever possible.
Step 8: Nurture a direct relationship with your creator
This is probably the most critical key to your healing. Its important to clear and avoid self-limiting belief systems and get the ego out of the drivers seat of your life so your spirit can be aligned with your Creator. Prayer, meditation and using your intuition are critical daily practices.
Step 9: Attitude
Gratitude is a key to healing. We must search our hearts and release the victimization. We must be grateful for adversity and see the blessing of everything in our lives and until we are able to do that then healing will be outside of our reach.
Step 10: Altruism
Making a difference in other peoples lives is one of the critical spiritual needs that we all have. We expand instead of contract when we participate in the lives of others. When we assist others in their healing, we help heal ourselves.
